Where can I find slippers for under $30?

I want some of those sheepskin or faux sheepskin slippers that everybody wears as shoes. but I can%26#039;t find any under 30 dollars which is a little steep for slippers. like i said, they can be faux sheepskin so that they aren%26#039;t as expensive.

you should be looking for something that is open toed, because you wouldn%26#039;t want his toes to be in a shoe all day...that%26#039;s not very good for his healing toe, it%26#039;s more suceptible to infection right now.

Reply:I have them and started buying them 4 years ago. I get a new pair every year because I wear them so much. My fav!! You should get them...you will love them. I love the tan but the black is great too. The only thing about the black is that it will turn your feet black for the first few weeks (but it comes off in the shower)

My husband refuses to wear bedroom slippers and insists on walking around barefoot (even in the freezing cold!). Am I alone? Am I the only person on the planet who still wears bedroom slippers (soft, low heeled with a fluffy bar across the front and an embroidered design over the toes) indoors?

mine are fluffy cheap ones and they do the trick aslong as there comfatable 4 me. my man is the same barefoot its not good when were getting into bed and all the bits off his feet are in the bed sheets yuk anyway hes looking at me funny now

They can be pretty much any style since my husband (who I am buying them for) is very fun loving...

ok...so in feb. i got ballet slippers and i haven%26#039;t taken a lot of ballet since so i just sewed the elastics for a show i%26#039;m in tomorrow night and they%26#039;re too small...what do i do? i don%26#039;t think i can get new ones..and besides i don%26#039;t want to spend more money

If they are leather, and you could go to a shoe repair store, you can get a fluid to stretch them while you wear them. If you can%26#039;t get to a shoe repair store, you can use alcohol (almost the same thing they use on the shoe stretching fluid). Wet your shoes where it is tight with the fluid or alcohol, then wear it for 15-20 minutes, standing or walking in your shoes. If you can wear a small plastic bag to protect your feet, wear it - if not, make sure to wash your feet after and put lotion on it. If it%26#039;s not leather, soak it in warm water, then dry it with towel, and wear it around for awhile till they dry get dry. Or you can have an older siblings to wear it so, it%26#039;ll stretch (dry or wet or with fluid or alcohol). Good Luck!


You can also use the fluid 30 minutes before the dance, and it will help stretch the leather ballet shoes.
Reply:You can also tuck the too small ones inside the slipper and have your foot over them. Another option is to cut the elastics off and put new ones on. A third option is to sew a new set of elastics on the shoe where the other ones are not sewed on.
Reply:if they aren%26#039;t pointe shoes then I think you will probably be able to deal with it for one night...wear them around the house from now until the show but wear socks over them so they don%26#039;t get dirty...That is if you can still get them on...it will stretch them out

Glass slippers are hard to find because the material used isn%26#039;t strong enough to hold someone up with out breaking a heal. Wedding dress%26#039;s are very heavy so when buying shoes for your big day be extra carefull to pick the right shoes.





Ebay would have them if you still want to wear them.

Reply:I would suggest plexiglass rather than real glass. I%26#039;m not sure real glass would stand up to the flexible stress. You can find clear plexiglass shoes a lot of places - I have seen them at Shoe Carnival and The Shoe Dept.

Stinky Slippers!?

I%26#039;ve washed my fleece slippers and can%26#039;t get the %26quot;feet%26quot; smell out of them. Bummer! Anyone have any suggestions? I love them, they%26#039;re just getting broken in, and I don%26#039;t want to have to throw them away!

OK, this is going to sound weird, but if you put them in an air tight zipper lock freezer bag and put them in the freezer for a few days it will kill the bacteria that is causing them to stink.


You can also use this method for old books that have a funky smell too.

If you want to wear them to break in for dancing, I would look at discountdance.com. They have some good stuff. But since I am a dancer, I couldn%26#039;t imagine just wearing my ballet slippers around the house. They are great for in the studio, but not just randomly in my apartment. For shoes around the house, I prefer regular slippers from any old Wal-mart. If you are a dancer, you%26#039;ll have to shop around for the type of ballet shoes you like. I like canvas, because they are flexible, with leather pads on the heels and toes to make spins easier.
